Powerful Features

For thermal calculations of windows and facades

WINISO®

WINISO® is the leading building physics software for the thermal calculation of windows, facades, and thermal bridges. It combines automated CAD import with precise FEM simulations in accordance with current European and international standards, such as EN ISO 10077-2.

The software quickly calculates heat flows, isotherms, Uf values, and psi values, while reliably assessing the risk of mould and condensation. In addition to conventional 2D calculations, WINISO® also provides component-based 3D simulation of complex point thermal bridges in accordance with EN ISO 10211.

WINISO® – Online-Viewer

Use the WINISO® Online Viewer directly in your browser without any local installation. The viewer allows you to easily view and present WINISO projects, calculation results, and models. The desktop version is still required for editing and performing calculations.

Features

WINISO® supports the thermal analysis of building components, window profiles, and facade structures in 2D and 3D. FEM simulations enable the precise calculation and clear visualization of heat flows, temperature fields, isotherms, and relevant values such as Uf, psi, chi, and fRsi.

CAD import, automated modeling, and standards-compliant calculation methods reduce the workload and significantly simplify evaluation and documentation for expert reports, testing, and customer presentations. Completed projects can also be viewed and presented directly in a browser using the WINISO® Online Viewer.

Thermal FEM Simulation

Calculation of heat flows, isotherms, and temperature fields in 2D and 3D. This enables reliable analysis of thermal weak points, thermal bridges, and critical junction details.

Automatic Parameters

WINISO® calculates key building physics values such as Uf, ψ, χ, and fRsi directly from the model. This makes evaluations faster, more traceable, and easier to document.

CAD Workflow

DWG, DXF, and STEP files can be imported and prepared for calculation. Automatic error correction, material assignment, and cavity filling reduce the need for manual rework.

Calculation in Accordance with Standards

The calculations are based on relevant standards such as EN ISO 10077-2, EN ISO 10211, EN ISO 6946, and EN 673. This makes WINISO® suitable for review-ready calculations, expert reports, and technical documentation.

Moisture and Mold Analysis

In addition to heat losses, risks associated with condensation, moisture, and mold can also be assessed. Critical areas are visually highlighted and can be identified at an early stage.

Online Viewer

With the WINISO® Online Viewer, completed calculations can be viewed and presented directly in the browser. The viewer is intended solely for viewing and presentation, not for editing or performing calculations.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

WINISO® supports calculations in accordance with the following standards:

  • EN ISO 10077-2
  • EN 673
  • EN ISO 6946
  • ISO 15099

WINISO® includes a wide range of material data and boundary conditions. The material database can also be customized to meet specific requirements.

WINISO® can calculate all required detailed values for a facade, including U-values for profiles, psi values for glazing edges, all-glass corners, and mullion-transom connections, as well as the isotherms of the individual connections.

These values can then be combined based on their respective areas and lengths to calculate the Ucw value for the entire facade. This final calculation is usually performed using Excel or other suitable tools.

The mathematical equivalence verification is performed using the calculated psi and fRsi values. The calculations are based on EN ISO 10077-2 in conjunction with EN ISO 10211. The fRsi value is determined in accordance with DIN 4108-2.

Yes. In WINISO®, absorbed solar radiation can be defined as “surface power” in W/m² on the surface of a material using an edge boundary condition.
